The Houston Texans have had two key acquisitions over the last 48 hours. On Tuesday they signed cornerback Myles Bryant of Pasadena, California according to spotrac.com. The financial terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed. Then on Wednesday, according to Tyler Sullivan of CBS Sports, the Buffalo Bills traded wide receiver Stefon Diggs of Gaithersburg, Maryland to the Houston Texans with a fifth round draft pick in the 2025 National Football League Draft and a sixth round draft pick in the 2024 National Football League Draft for a second round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Bryant, a defensive back, has spent the last four seasons with the New England Patriots. In 2023, he had 77 combined tackles (65 solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles), seven tackles for a loss, one quaterback hit, one interception for six yards, seven pass deflections, two forced fumbles and one sack.

Diggs is joining his third NFL franchise. He previously played five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings from 2015 to 2019, and the last four seasons with the Buffalo Bills. In 2023, Diggs had 107 catches for 1183 receiving yards and eight touchdown catches.

Considered one of the elite receivers in all of football, Diggs was selected to the Pro Bowl in all four seasons he was with the Bills. In 2020, he actually led the NFL in receptions (127) and receiving yards (1535). Diggs also had eight touchdown catches. In 2021, Diggs had 103 catches for 1225 receiving yards and 10 touchdown catches. In 2022, he had 108 receptions for 1429 receiving yards and a career-high 11 touchdown catches. If there is one thing for certain, and that is Diggs has been mighty consistent.
