When you think of legends of golf, the players who initially come to mind are Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson. However, in that next tier, you could put the great Byron Nelson of Waxahachie, Texas, who won five major titles in his career, in the mix.

Scottie Scheffler
Even though Scheffler (+280) has not won so far in 2025, the feeling is it will be just a matter of time. The two-time Masters champion has had five top-10 finishes in eight events in 2025, and has been in the top eight in his last three tournaments. With Rory McIlroy winning the 2025 Masters, he has closed the gap on Scheffler in the Official World Golf Rankings. Scheffler has 13.885 average points and McIlroy has 11.4733 points.
Byeong Hun An
South Koreans have had recent success at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. Sung-hoon Kang won in 2019, Kyoung-hoon Lee won in 2021 and 2022, and Si-Woo Kim was the runner-up to Jason Day of Australia in 2023. With Lee battling a back injury, the general feeling by odds makers this year is that Byeong Hun An of Seoul is the biggest Korean threat. The 37th ranked player in the world finished fourth in the tournament last year and is at +2500.
