2011 PGA Championship winner Keegan Bradley of Woodstock, Vermont won the 2023 Travelers Championship from Cromwell, Connecticut on Sunday. Bradley shot a four round score of -23 and beat Americans Zac Blair of Salt Lake City, Utah  and Brian Harman of Savannah, Georgia by three strokes each. Blair and Harman finished their tournament at -20.

Bradley had a terrific start to the tournament. He began with an opening score of eight-under-par 62, and followed that up with a score of seven-under-par 63, to be at -15 at the halfway point.

The third round of the Travelers Championship had historical significance. That is because Bradley and fellow American Chez Reavie of Wichita, Kansas finished their round by posting scores of 64 and 63 respectively. It was the first time ever that two golfers in the same tournament posted a score of 64 or better in rounds one, two, and three according to ESPN. Reavie had scores of 64 in round one, and 63 in rounds two and three. What Bradley and Reavie accomplished in Connecticut on Saturday, had only been accomplished five times previously.In the final round, Bradley was at -2 to finish at -23, and Reavie was at +1 and finished in fourth at -19.

It was also a fabulous start for Denny McCarthy of Takoma Park, Maryland. McCarthy. He was at -15 under the first 36 holes. McCarthy was at -10 after round one and -5 after round two. McCarthy’s overall score of 125 (60 in round one and 65 in round two) was the fifth lowest score in PGA Tour history after the first two rounds according to ESPN. He finished up in seventh place at -18.

Bradley has now won six times on the PGA Tour. In addition to his major win, he won the 2011 Byron Nelson Championship, the 2012 World Golf Championship Bridgestone Invitational, the 2018 BMW Championship, and the 2022 Zozo Championship.
