Why Red Bull Must Sign Sainz Now

There are plenty of options for Red Bull when it comes to the coveted seat next to Max Verstappen but only Sainz can be the logical choice and here is why.

Christian Horner has left his options open as he has the seat that just about every driver wants but after Sunday’s race in Australia, it is clear that there is only one choice and he needs to make it now.

Here’s why Horner must sign Sainz ASAP

Ricciardo Past His Best

Horner may have a special spot for Ricciardo but the seat at Red Bull isn’t it.

It’s hard to go past the fact that Daniel walked away from Red Bull after several collisions and questionable moments between himself and Max which would create a hostility amongst the team which is far from what they need right now.

The Honey Badger has also struggled to show that he can consistently drive at the top of his game on a consistent basis.

He is also 34 years old which means his days are numbered.

Perez Solid But Age Is A Barrier

Checo has had a good start to the season which could see him hold his spot but like Ricciardo, he is getting older and with Max being so young it would make sense to have someone that could stick around for a few more years to build a great partnership between the two drivers.

Lawson Not Ready

Liam Lawson is also an option but in an ideal world the Red Bull family would have him complete 2-3 seasons in the sister team at RB to tune his skills.

Sainz Is A Quality Former Red Bull Driver

Carlos drover a perfect race on the weekend and at the age of 29, he is at the perfect age for Red Bull to fill in the 2-3 years Liam Lawson would need to show he is ready for the Red Bull seat.

The Spaniard has also shown that he will always put the team first which is what is needed from the driver that is working with Max Verstappen.

Rival Teams Are Circling

With the recent form of Sainz being so impressive, he is sure to have a number of teams chasing his signature and this is why Horner must act now before it is too late.
