The New York Yankees entered game three at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night in a do or die situation. They had to win or they would be eliminated from the American League Divisional Series against the Toronto Blue Jays. Things looked extremely bleak early. They were so bleak in fact, the Blue Jays were leading the Yankees 6-1 in the third inning.
That is when the Yankees showed the baseball world why they are simply known as the Bronx Bombers. With their backs against the wall, the Yankees went off an offensive surge of their own as they scored eight unanswered runs en route a 9-6 victory. The Blue Jays still lead the best out of five series two games to one.
The Yankees hero on Tuesday was right fielder Aaron Judge of Linden, California, who hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. All of a sudden the baseball game was tied at six. New York then got a game-winning home run from Jazz Chisholm Jr. of Nassau, Bahamas in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Another reason why the Yankees came through with the win is because is because of their bullpen. After Carlos Rodon was rocked for six earned runs in two and a third innings, the Yankees relievers of Fernando Cruz, Camilo Doval, Tim Hill, Devin Williams and David Bednar were sensational.
Meanwhile, the Seattle Mariners took a 2-1 lead on the Detroit Tigers following an 8-4 win. The Mariners got home runs from Eugenio Suarez, J.P. Crawford, and of course, Cal Raleigh.
