Warriors continue to struggle away from San Francisco

Just when we thought the Golden State Warriors were getting things back on track on the road after a record-setting performance on Sunday in Houston, the Warriors struggled mightily on the road again on Monday night as they lost 128-83 to the New Orleans Pelicans. One month into the season, the Warriors have the third worst road winning percentage in the entire National Basketball Association at .100. The only two teams with a worse road winning percentage are the Los Angeles Lakers (0-5), and the Detroit Pistons (0-10), as they each have not won a game on the road this season yet.

The Warriors struggles away from the Chase Center in northern California were documented a week ago when they lost seven straight games on the road. Since then they extended their road losing streak to eight games, when they lost 130-119 to the Phoenix Suns.

On Sunday, the Warriors had a record-breaking performance in a 127-120 win over the Houston Rockets in their first road win of the season. Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins combined for 23 three-pointers. Thompson had 10 three-pointers, Curry had seven three-pointers, and Wiggins had six three-pointers. According to ESPN, that is the most number of three-pointers made by three teammates in a single game in NBA history.

Then on Monday, the Warriors road woes continued. They had a poor performance defensively. The Pelicans scored a minimum of 30 points per quarter in beating the Warriors by 45 points. Brandon Ingram was the Pelicans star as he scored 34 points.
