Trial Review: Horses That Caught The Eye At The Trials This Week 9/1
2 months ago - Sportingbase
The replays have been reviewed from 13 Warwick Farm trials. Click below to see the runners that returned in great order and have made their way into the black book.
Captain Thunderbolt
The unraced Robert Quinn 3yo looks to be one to look out for when he debuts in maiden company after a stylish 3.1L victory over 1200m in his Warwick Farm trial. He went straight to the front and kicked right clear at the top of the straight after the smallest of shake ups. He ran away with it under a tight hold and the 1:13.82 time was only 0.09s slower than Tiger Town’s win in open company the trial prior.

Sixties
The Ming Dynasty winner returned with a sharp 0.3L trial win over 800m. He sat outside the lead and J Mac had him under a tight hold all the way to the line holding off Zoufield under strong hands and heels riding. You don’t usually see Waller runners win like that in their first trial back from a spell.
