Our analyst has run his eye over this week’s Rosehill and Randwick trials and has black booked three horses that look like they will be hard to beat when they return to the races.

Ballpark

The unraced Waller colt looks one to look out for in maiden company after an impressive 1.5L trial win at Rosehill. He sat off a fast leader and extended nicely the final 200m under hands and heels riding for McEvoy to score a nice win. He should be well placed in a midweek Sydney maiden.

Way to the Stars

The speedy Matthew Smith stalwart was impossible to miss at the Rosehill trials scoring a massive 14L win in slick time. He was taken straight to the front and moved through his gears nicely before exploding away up the straight. 4 of his 7 wins have come 1st up and he is sure to be well placed this time of year after taking on some of the best sprinters in the G1 Lightning and G2 Challenge in the autumn.

Farside

The Price & Kent 3yo looked great settling towards the rear and putting in a nice run down the outside before being eased down to finish 0.02L 2nd in his 900m trial. He is another to look out for on debut.
