The seventh week of the 2025 National Football League regular season is now finished. Here are the top five headlines.

5) San Francisco 49ers are a surprising 5-2.

With all of the injuries the San Francisco 49ers keep having, they still find ways to win football games. That is the reason why they lead the NFC West at five wins and two losses. On Sunday night it was the Christian McCaffrey Show as the star running back had 201 total rushing yards and two touchdowns in the 49ers’s 20-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

4) Chiefs defense superb.

We always talk about how great the Kansas City Chiefs offense is. However, on Sunday, their defense delivered as they gave Kansas City its first shutout in almost a decade. The Chiefs improved to four wins and three losses with a 31-0 shutout win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Cornerback Trent McDuffie of Westminster, California led the Chiefs with four tackles.

3) Eagles bounce back after two straight losses.

Things were not going well for the defending Super Bowl champions as they lost two straight games to the Denver Broncos and New York Giants after starting the season 4-0. On Sunday, the Eagles came through a monster effort as they defeated the Minnesota Vikings 28-22. Eagles wide receivers DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown combined for 304 yards receiving.

2) Davante Adams has three touchdown catches.

The Los Angeles Rams spanked the Jacksonville Jaguars 35-7 at England’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday. It was a notable game for Rams wide receiver Davante Adams. The native of East Palo Alto, California only had five catches for 35 receiving yards. However, three of the catches came within five yards and were all major scores.

1) Broncos deliver with a great comeback.

Denver looked terrible for the majority of their game Sunday against the New York Giants. They were down 19-0 after three quarters, and 26-8 with just over 10 minutes left. Then Denver went on a fourth quarter tear. Broncos quarterback Bo Nix contributed to three consecutive Broncos touchdowns, and Denver kicker Wil Lutz kicked a game-winning 39 yard field goal in a come from behind 33-32 Denver win.
