The ninth week of the 2024 National Football League regular season is now finished. Here are the top five headlines.

5) Arizona Cardinals record a safety in two straight games.

For the first time ever the Cardinals had a safety in two straight games. They accomplished the feat when a Miami fumble went out of bounds into the end zone a week ago in a 28-27 win over the Dolphins, and then completed the scoring with another two point play in a 29-9 Cardinals win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

4) Ravens have impressive outing in win over Broncos.

Just when we thought the Denver Broncos were respectable at 5-3, they had a poor performance in a 41-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore wide receiver Zay Flowers of Fort Lauderdale, Florida had five catches for 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Ravens running back Derrick Henry of Yulee, Florida had 23 carries for 106 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and one catch for 27 receiving yards. Baltimore meanwhile is at six wins and three losses and are in second place in the AFC North.

3) Chiefs remain unbeaten.

Kansas City improved to a record of eight wins and zero losses following a 30-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Chiefs star was running back Kareem Hunt of Willoughby, Ohio, who had the game-winning touchdown on a two-yard run in extra time.

2) Joe Burrow has five touchdown passes in a game for the second time this season.

For the second time in 2024, Joe Burrow had a career-high five touchdown passes in a game. After accomplishing the feat in a 41-38 Cincinnati Bengals overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens on October 6, he did it again on Sunday in a 41-24 Bengals win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

1) Bills win in dramatic fashion.

The Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins 30-27 on Sunday from Orchard Park. The Bills’s hero was kicker Tyler Bass of Columbia, South Carolina, who made a 61-yard field goal, the longest of his career, and the longest kick in Bills history. The field goal came with five seconds left in the game and broke a 27-27 tie. With the win, the Bills improved to a record of seven wins and two losses, and lead the AFC East.
