Top five headlines from Week 11 of 2025 NFL season
3 months ago - Sportingbase
We are now 11 weeks into the National Football League season. Here are the top five headlines from the week that was.
5) Rams defense shines in win over Seahawks.
A major reason why the Los Angeles Rams lead the NFC West at eight wins and two losses is because Matt Stafford has had an outstanding season. On Sunday, a major reason why the Rams came through with a 21-19 win was because of their defense. Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold looked like the Vikings quarterback we saw at the end of last season, as he had four interceptions. Two of the picks went to Rams safety Kamren Kinchens of Miami, Florida.

4) Eagles defense looks great.
Like the Rams, the major reason why the Eagles won on Sunday night by a score of 16-9 over the Detroit Lions is because of their defense. Lions quarterback Jared Goff looked completely confused and Detroit clearly missed tight end Sam LaPorta, who is out with a back injury. Goff had 23 incompletions. That is the most number of incompletions by a quarterback with less than 40 pass attempts in a single game in 14 years according to Pro Football Reference.
3) Dolphins win in Madrid.
It has been a horrendous season for the Miami Dolphins. However, things have recently been coming around as they have beaten the Buffalo Bills and now the Washington Commanders. On Sunday, the Dolphins won the very first NFL regular season game in Spain as they came away with a 16-13 overtime win. The Dolphins hero was cornerback Jack Jones, who came up with an interception in overtime.

2) Ja’Marr Chase suspended.
It has been a very disappointing season for Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. The disappointment continued on Monday when he was suspended one game for spitting in the face of Steelers’s cornerback Jalen Ramsey. It was a dominant game by Pittsburgh in a 34-12 win over Cincinnati.
1) Josh Allen shines.
The Bills starting quarterback contributed to six touchdowns (three rushing touchdowns and three passing touchdowns) in an offensive explosion in New York state. The Bills beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 44-32 in a game that saw nine lead changes.
