Basketball cards may not have the history as baseball cards, however many have strong appeal. Here are the five basketball cards that have been sold for the most according to withotis.com.

5) Kobe Bryant–Los Angeles Lakers–On Tuesday a Kobe Bryant card was sold for $2 million. Made by Metal Universe, it received an 8.5 grade from Beckett Grading Services according to Dan Hajducky of ESPN. What makes this card noteworthy is that it is not a rookie card. It is of Bryant in the 1997-98 season, his second season in the NBA, but the first season he was an All-Star. Bryant passed away in a plane crash on January 26, 2020.

4) Michael Jordan–Chicago Bulls–This Michael Jordan card was sold for $2.7 million through Goldin Auctions in October of 2021. It is an autographed All-Star Game card from the 1997 NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland. Jordan, who is considered the best player ever in NBA history, made basketball history from this game as he became the first player ever to record a triple-double in an All-Star Game. Jordan had 14 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists as the Eastern Conference beat the Western Conference 132-120.
