Brownlee Jr. has spent the last two seasons with the Jets. In 2025, he has 17 combined tackles (11 solo tackles and six assisted tackles). Brownlee Jr. also had two tackles for a loss and one pass deflection. In 2024, Brownlee Jr. had 75 combined tackles (46 solo tackles and 29 assisted tackles), seven tackles for a loss, one interception for two yards, nine pass deflections and one fumble recovery. Brownlee’s interception came in a 32-27 Titans win over the Houston Texans on November 24, 2024.
It should be noted the Jets and Titans have both not won a game this season as they have identical records of zero wins and three losses. The Titans have been outscored 94-51 and the Jets have been outscored 93-69. There are only four other teams in the NFL without a win so far. They are the New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans.

After the trade was made, Titans head coach Brian Callahan of Champaign, Illinois denied that the Titans were having a “fire sale,” and this individual transaction was a “one-off situation.” Meanwhile according to Connor Long of jetsxfactor.com, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn really likes Brownlee’s aggressiveness attribute. Glenn comes from a Lions team that was very aggressive offensively and defensively last year.
