The Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks got back into the Conference Finals on the weekend by winning their games in completely different ways. The Timberwolves delivered a dominant performance. It was in fact the largest loss in Oklahoma City Thunder playoff history as they lost by 42 points, 143-101. The Knicks meanwhile were down by 20 points (55-35) with three minutes and 20 seconds left in the first half before outscoring the Indiana Pacers 71-45 en route to a 106-100 win. Even though the Timberwolves won on Saturday, and the Knicks won on Sunday, Oklahoma City still leads the Western Final two games to one, and the Pacers still lead the Eastern Final two games to one.

Seven Timberwolves players reached double digits in points. Shooting guard Anthony Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia had 30 points, power forward Julius Randle of Dallas. Texas had 24 points, shooting guard Terrence Shannon Jr. of Chicago, Illinois had 15 points, Canadian shooting guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker of Toronto, Ontario had 12 points, Canadian small forward Leonard Miller of Scarborough, Ontario had 11 points, while center Naz Reid of Asbury Park, New Jersey and forward Jaden McDaniels of Federal Way, Washington had 10 points each.

Minnesota had a great first quarter as they outscored Oklahoma City 34-14. They also won every quarter, and had a 72-41 lead at the half.

The Knicks were led by center Karl-Anthony Towns of Edison, New Jersey, who had a double double. He had 24 points and 15 rebounds. Three more Knicks had double digits in points. Guard Jalen Brunson of New Brunswick, New Jersey had 23 points, forward OG Anunoby of London, England had 16 points and small forward Mikal Bridges of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania had 15 points.
