The Minnesota Timberwolves are in the Western Conference Finals. On Wednesday, the Timberwolves defeated the Golden State Warriors 121-110 to win the best out of seven series four games to one.

The Timberwolves had six players in double digits in scoring. Power forward Julius Randle of Dallas, Texas led Minnesota with 29 points. He was followed by shooting guard Anthony Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia with 22 points, center Rudy Gobert of Saint-Quentin, France with 17 points, point guard Mike Conley Jr. of Fayetteville, Arkansas with 16 points, forward Jaden McDaniels of Federal Way, Washington with 14 points, and guard Donte DiVincenzo of Newark, Delaware with 13 points. Edwards had the double-double as he had 13 assists.

Minnesota had a commanding 93-68 lead with 61 seconds left in the fourth quarter before Golden State tried to make things interesting. But it was too little, too late. Minnesota will now play the winner of Denver and Oklahoma City. The Thunder lead that series three games to two.

The Celtics surprised me on Wednesday. Without Jayson Tatum who is out with a ruptured Achilles tendon, I did not think Boston would bounce back. However, the Celtics did and were dominant at home with a 127-102 victory over New York. Just like Minnesota, six Celtics reached double digits in scoring to stay alive as they still trail three games to two. Guard Derrick White of Parker, Colorado had 34 points, small forward Jaylen Brown of Marietta, Georgia had 26 points, point guard Payton Pritchard of Tualatin, Oregon had 17 points, guard Jrue Holiday of Chatsworth, California had 14 points, center Al Horford of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic had 12 points, and center Luke Kornet of Lantana, Texas had 10 points. Brown had a double double as he had 12 assists.
