Tiger Woods scheduled to compete at the 2022 Masters

One needs to realize that Tiger Woods has not teed off yet at the 2022 Masters. However, there is a significant amount of buzz and anticipation in the air that he will be. At this time, Woods has a tee off time of 1:34 am AEST on Friday, alongside 2010 British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa, and Joaquin Niemann of Chile.
Woods has not played on the PGA Tour since suffering multiple injuries in a car accident in southern California on February 23, 2021. The accident came exactly two months after having a microdisectomy surgery on his back for a fifth time. When Woods had the accident, he suffered multiple leg and ankle injuries.

The last PGA event Woods has participated in was in fact the 2020 Masters. Held in November instead of April because of coronavirus, Woods shot a four-round score of -1, and finished tied for 38th. The winner, Dustin Johnson of the United States, shot a four-round score of -20, to claim the green jacket. Ironically, Johnson broke the record previously set by Woods, who shot a four-round score of -18, when he won his first major title in 1997.
Woods did however participate at the 2021 PNC Championship at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida alongside his son Charlie. In the father-son tournament held before Christmas, Team Woods was in second place with a combined score of -25. They were two strokes back of John Daly, and his son John.
When you take a look at Masters history, Woods has won five Masters titles. Jack Nicklaus has the most Masters with six.
