Thunder and Clippers deliver impressive comebacks

The National Basketball Association is heading into its All-Star break with the game taking place on Sunday from San Francisco. Over the last 48 hours, we had two impressive comebacks. On Wednesday, the Oklahoma City Thunder were down by 21 points (58-37) to the Miami Heat with three minutes and 43 seconds left in the first half before they outscored the Heat 78-43 en route to a 115-101 win. Then on Thursday, the Los Angeles Clippers were down by 20 points (50-30) to the Utah Jazz with five minutes and two seconds left in the first half before they outscored Utah 90-66 en route to a 120-116 overtime win.

The Thunder displayed unbelievable fourth quarter defense in their win over the Heat, as they limited Miami to only eight points. Six Thunder players reached double digits in points. Canadian point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Toronto, Ontario had 32 points, shooting guard Jalen Willams of Denver, Colorado had 18 points, Canadian small forward Luguentz Dort of Montreal, Quebec had 17 points, power forward Kenrich Williams of Waco, Texas had 14 points, shooting guard Aaron Wiggins of Greensboro, North Carolina had 11 points, and shooting guard Isaiah Joe of Fort Smith, Arkansas had 1o points.

The Clippers were led by shooting guard Norman Powell of San Diego, California, who had 41 points. Other Clippers with a multi-point game were point guard James Harden of Los Angeles, California (32 points), point guard Ben Simmons of Melbourne, Australia (12 points), and center Ivica Zubac of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina (10 points). Harden had a double-double as he had 10 rebounds. With the win, the Clippers are sixth in the Western Conference at 31 wins and 23 losses.
