Cepheus – Kembla

  • Race 7
  • Distance: 1400m
  • Class: Open Handicap

Cepheus was an intriguing runner having his first Australian start after winning a Listed race over 2500m in France at his last European start before producing 2 eye catching trials in Sydney. He was always going to improve on his first run over the unsuitable distance of 1400m and what he was able to do was exciting for the future.

After settling 2nd last, he wound right up down the outside and flashed home for a nice 4th. Considering the winner Frosty Rocks sat on the speed and smashed the track record, the effort of Cepheus suggests he is one for the future.

When To Bet

He will most likely progress to a race over a mile next but I cannot wait to see what he can do over 2000m and beyond.
