The Plunge’s Black Book: Horses Running At Rosehill 16/1

5 years ago - Sportingbase The Plunge’s Black Book: Horses Running At Rosehill 16/1 Image
Last week The Plunge’s followers went 2 from 2 for 7 units of profit after dominant wins from Zing and All Time Legend. A 2yo ready to stake his claim as a Golden Slipper contender and a $51 pop from the Snowden yard at The Magic Millions jump out of The Plunge’s Blackbook this week.

Rosehill Race 1 – 7 Remarque

It wasn’t a surprise that Remarque came up short at $1.9 when markets first opened after two very impressive trials. Unfortunately the Hawkes colt was quickly backed into $1.65. Hopefully followers of The Plunge’s Horses To Follow from Rosehill Trials on 18-12 got on at the early odds. The short quote may be a turn off for some but I am still throwing him out there as I am very confident he will confirm himself as an early favourite for The Golden Slipper after seeing him win his second trial on this track a month ago. Tommy Berry showed intent to make him settle just off the speed but when he gave him a slight squeeze at the furlong he blew his rivals away in impressive fashion recording a quick time.  He looks a great bet to set the day up. Some punters may prefer to place him in multis or others may prefer the $17 on offer for The Slipper.
Tip: 4 Units Win Remarque @ $1.65

Rosehill Race 2 – 3 Taileur

Taileur impressed last start at Randwick where the 4yo mare sat 3 wide off a hot speed and managed to still be strong through the line to finish 2.3L 2nd to Snapdancer. After a freshen-up, she maps to get a better run here in the small field and benefits from a recent trial win on this track.
Tip: 2 Units Win Taileur @ $3

Gold Coast Race 7 – 8 Aim

Aim earned a spot in my blackbook after showing he had returned in great order with two trial wins at Randwick and Rosehill during December. He had been nominated for several races in Sydney but kept finding wet tracks and the Snowden’s chose to scratch him multiple times. Eventually they were forced to start him on a heavy at Kensington. A run that doesn’t read well on the form guide hence his large price. The track is currently a Soft 5 with sun predicted Friday but a late thunderstorm Saturday. If the track stays in the good-soft range I believe he can run a big race and may surprise here with J-Mac in the saddle.
Tip: 0.5 Units EW Aim @ $51/$12
