In the 31st of a 32-part series, we will feature all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Today we will look at the Tennessee Titans.

Key Off Season Acquisitions

The Titans acquired reigning Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl champion Robert Woods of Gardena, California in a trade on March 19. In return, the Rams received a sixth round draft pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Last season in southern California, Woods had 45 catches for 556 yards and four touchdowns.

At tight end, the Titans signed Austin Hooper of San Mateo, California. Last year he had 38 catches for 345 yards and three touchdowns with the Cleveland Browns.

The Titans are also projected to start two draft picks on offense from the 2022 NFL Draft. They are wide receiver and first round pick Treylon Burks of Warren, Arkansas from the University of Arkansas and Ohio State right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere, who was selected in the third round.

On defense, the Titans signed defensive end DeMarcus Walker of Jacksonville, Florida to a one-year contract worth $1.2 million. Last season in Houston, Walker had 31 combined tackles, four tackles for a loss, seven quarterback sacks, four tackles for a loss, two sacks, one pass deflection and one forced fumble. The Titans also plan to start draft pick Roger McCreary of Mobile, Alabama at cornerback, the second round pick out of Auburn.

Fantasy Stars

The Titans do not have any players ranked in the top 10 at any fantasy position. However, running back Derrick Henry should be in the top 10 after breaking his foot last year.

Projected Finish

The Colts and Titans are evenly matched and have two elite running backs. The Titans have solidarity and head coach Mike Vrabel deserves credit for bringing respectability to a Titans team. The Titans won the AFC South last year and have the capability of defending their title this year. Tennessee wins the division title marginally.
