Steve Ballmer donates $25 million for Coronavirus relief efforts

Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer of Detroit, Michigan is making a significant financial contribution to the Coronavirus relief efforts. According to Mike Florio of NBC Sports, Ballmer is making a $25 million donation to help testing for vaccination.

There are currently 857, 738 cases of Coronavirus across the world. There have also been 42, 024 deaths. Coronavirus could be one of the most lethal viruses to ever hit civilization and the scary thing at the moment is that people are starting to have the disease without actually knowing it.

At 64 years of age, Ballmer’s latest financial donation is trying to help the global race in trying to find a necessary cure for this horrendous pandemic. There are currently a few human trials that are set to begin in the United States and Great Britain. Never before have scientists played a bigger role in our civilization and saving health on our planet.

Ballmer made his fortune by being the chief executive officer and investor of Microsoft from 2000 to 2014. He was initially hired at Microsoft by Bill Gates, who currently has an estimated worth himself of $98.9 billion. Ballmer has done very well himself over the years as well. Ballmer’s current worth is $51.8 billion.

No one knows at this time when exactly the NBA could return. The Clippers are currently second in the Western Conference with a record of 44 wins and 20 losses. The only team better than the Clippers in the Western Conference are the Lakers, who are at 49 wins and 14 losses. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, it is expected that Ballmer could lose $10 million by owning the Clippers this year.
