Steph Curry leaves game injured; Bucks defeat Warriors

The Bucks upset the Warriors at Oracle Arena and Steph Curry leaves game in the third quarter with a groin strain.
The Golden State Warriors were beaten at home yesterday against the Bucks 134-111.
The Warriors went into the game without one of their stars, Draymond Green. They were still favoured to win at home, and nobody expected them to be out of the game before the fourth quarter.
The Warriors lacked their usual basketball IQ and passing fluidity, most likely impacted by Green’s absence. The Warriors had 18 turnovers to the Bucks 12.
The Bucks also dominated the Warriors in the paint, as the home team were too eager to settle for lazy midrange shots, while the Bucks worked hard for their layups and dunks. The Bucks outscored the Warriors in the paint 84-34.
If all this wasn’t worrying enough for the Dubs, their superstar player, Stephen Curry left the game in the third quarter with a left adductor strain. Also, of note is that the Warriors were getting crushed before Curry left the game.
The Warriors PR twitter account released a statement this morning saying that Curry suffered a mild to moderate left groin strain, which will rule him out against the Brooklyn Nets in their next game. Others expect Curry to miss at least two games (maybe more) for precautionary reasons.
It’s difficult to say how long Curry will be out for considering how early we are in the NBA season. If he were to rest for a couple of weeks, it won’t affect the team’s chances of making the playoffs. Curry is injury-prone, so avoiding a more severe injury will take priority over rushing him back for a few regular-season game.
Curry missed 31 games last season and the Dubs still managed to secure second place in the Western Conference. The most important outcome will be for Curry to be 100% healthy during playoff-time.
