According to the Associated Press on Thursday, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt of Pewaukee, Wisconsin will miss a month with a left pectoral injury. He suffered the injury on Sunday in the Steelers’ dramatic 23-20 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Watt had six solo tackles, three tackles for a loss, one quarterback hit, two pass deflections, one sack, and one interception.

It was a solid game for Watt, but it was an unbelievable game for Steelers free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who literally had one of the best games of his life, and one of the best games a defensive player has had in the National Football League in quite some time. Fitzpatrick was simply a beast. He had 14 combined tackles (10 solo tackles and four assisted tackles), a pick six for 31 yards, one pass deflection, and a blocked convert attempt which prevented the Bengals from winning in regulation.
Watt, who was the Steelers’ first round pick, 30th overall, in the 2017 NFL Draft, is one of three Watt brothers in the NFL. He is joined by his Steelers teammate Derek Watt, a fullback from Waukesha, Wisconsin, and J.J. Watt of the Arizona Cardinals, a defensive end from Pewaukee. Like T.J., J.J. Watt is currently injured as he is out with a calf injury.

The injury to Watt in week one, was one of two major injuries in the NFL this past weekend. On Monday night, Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams tore his quad muscle and is out for the season. The Seahawks came through with a 17-16 upset win over the Denver Broncos.
The Steelers meanwhile play one of the most high profile week two games on Sunday. They will face the New England Patriots at home.
