Souths extend gun centre Graham for three more seasons

South Sydney has scored a huge victory in the player market, re-signing star centre Campbell Graham for at least three more years, through to the end of the 2027 NRL season.

Graham, 24, has been one of the Rabbitohs’ best in recent seasons. Earlier this year, the gun centre nearly bagged himself a State of Origin jersey for the first time in his 125-game career, but returned to clubland to nurse a minor injury and missed out on his debut that would have eventuated once Latrell Mitchell was ruled out.

The Souths outside back debuted for the club in 2017 and has gone on to play more than a hundred games in the following seven years.

He originally burst onto the scene as a much-lauded defensive centre but has grown into a lethal threat down the right edge for the Bunnies. This season he scored 14 tries in the first half of the season and is averaging 150 metres a game.

Graham was already signed on to stay at Redfern until the end of 2024 but now adds 2025, 2026, and 2027 to his ongoing deal. The Sporting Base has heard the 24-year-old will earn quite similar in the early years before his deal begins to creep up towards the end of the bargain.

“I’m very excited to know my future for the next four years is going to be here at Souths,” Graham said.

“This club really is my home and I’ve always felt that way. I love this club, I love everybody involved with this club, I feel so at home here, so it wasn’t a hard decision for me to stay here and work towards winning some premierships here over the next few years.

“I’m very grateful to the club for putting their faith in me. I’m looking to pay them back with my performances for the rest of this season and the next few years. Over the last few seasons, I’ve built some great relationships amongst the players and coaching staff. We’ve had a group of young lads coming through and I can’t wait to see all of the new talent coming through to join some of the tried-and-true performers we have in our squad.

“Our members have also shown me so much support. I get so much love from the members and fans. The support is so good, I feel so loved at this club, and we have the best members in the game.

“I’m so grateful that I will get to hear them cheer me on for the next four years.”
