South Pacific primed for back-to-back success

Promising stayer South Pacific is looking to make it two wins on the trot in the Flemington Cup tomorrow.
The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace trained galloper has taken a while to adjust to Australian racing but looks to have finally settled in after his impressive last start victory.
The five-year-old gelding faces a similar lineup to what he beat at his last start with trainer Ciaron Maher confident he can win again.
“Can’t fault him, he’s nice, fresh and well.
“Obviously a real natural stayer, we haven’t had to do a lot with him, 2800 would be only to his liking so it looks a lovely progressive race for him,” said Maher.

Jamie Kah will partner with the gelding once again after their last start win.
“It looks a very similar race so hopefully he can do the same again,” said Maher.
South Pacific is currently a $2.15 chance to take out Race 8 at Flemington tomorrow.
