Seven MLB pitchers to switch teams in November

The 2025 MLB season is officially over, and transactions have already started as we head into the 2026 MLB season. Here are seven pitchers who have switched teams, either via trade or free agency.

Brennan Bernardino

The native of Valencia, California, was traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Colorado Rockies for prospect utility man Braiden Ward. Bernardino is with his third MLB team after one season with the Seattle Mariners and three seasons with the Red Sox. In 2025 with Boston, Bernardino had a record of four wins and three losses with an earned run average of 3.14. In 55 games, he had one save, two holds, 43 strikeouts and a WHIP (walks and hits per innings pitched) of 1.26. The first hold came in a 5-1 Red Sox win over the Atlanta Braves on May 30, and the second hold came in a 2-0 Red Sox win over the New York Yankees on June 15. The save came in a 9-8 Red Sox win over the Philadelphia Phillies on July 23.

Luis Guerrero

The native of Bani, Dominican Republic was traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Tampa Bay Rays for infielder Tristan Gray. In 2025, Guerrero had a record of zero wins and one loss with an earned run average of 4.15. In 13 games, he had 10 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.33.

Andrew Kittredge

The native of Spokane, Washington was traded from the Chicago Cubs to the Baltimore Orioles for cash considerations. Kittredge played seven seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays from 2017 to 2023 (where he was an All-Star in 2021), in 2024 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and in 2025 with the Orioles and Cubs. This past season, Kittredge had a record of four wins and three losses with an earned run average of 3.40. He had five saves, 15 holds, 64 strikeouts, and a WHIP of 0.98.

Alex Lange

The native of Riverside, California signed a one year contract worth $900,000 with the Kansas City Royals. Lange only pitched one scoreless inning for Detroit last season as he recovered from lat surgery the year before. Lange had pitched five seasons for the Tigers in his career.

Chris Murphy

The native of Mission Hills, California was traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Chicago White Sox for catching prospect Ronny Hernandez. Murphy pitched for the Red Sox in 2023 and 2025. In 2025, he had a record of three wins and zero losses with an earned run average of 3.12. In 23 games, Murphy had 30 strikeouts, two holds, and a WHIP of 1.18.

Eric Orze

The native of Elk Grove, Illinois was traded from the Tampa Bay Rays to the Minnesota Twins for pitching prospect Jacob Kisting. Orze is joining his third MLB team after one season each with the New York Mets and Rays. In 2025, Orze pitched 33 games, and had a record of one win and one loss, three saves, one hold, 40 strikeouts, an earned run average of 3.02, and a WHIP of 1.37. Orze’s hold came in a 10-8 Rays win over the New York Mets on June 9. Orze’s win came in a 7-5 Rays win over the New York Mets on June 13.

Steven Wilson

The native of Littleton, Colorado was traded from the Chicago White Sox to the Tampa Bay Rays with pitcher Yoendrys Gomez for outfielder Everson Pereira and infield prospect Tanner Murray. Willson is joining his third MLB team after two seasons each with the San Diego Pares and White Sox. In 2025, Wilson had a record of two wins and two losses with an earned run average of 3.42. In 59 games, he had two saves, 51 strikeouts, 10 holds, and a WHIP of 1.30. The first win came in a 5-1 White Sox win over the Cincinnati Reds on May 13, and the second win came in a 3-2 White Sox win over the Detroit Tigers on June 5. The first save came in a 4-1 White Sox win over the Texas Rangers on May 23, and the second save came in a 6-3 White Sox win over the Los Angeles Angels on August 1.
