Seahawks sign linebacker Frank Clark

According to the Associated Press on Wednesday, the Seattle Seahawks have signed defensive end Frank Clark of Bakersfield, California. The 30-year-old veteran defender was recently released by the Denver Broncos on October 14. The Seahawks were in need of improving their defense when defensive end Uchenna Nwosu of Carson, California tore his pectoral muscle and had season ending surgery.
Clark was not with the Broncos for long. In fact, he was only with the Broncos for two games and only had two solo tackles after being signed to a one year deal worth $5.5 million on June 8. The financial terms and length of Clark’s contract with Seattle have not yet been released.
It was the Seahawks organization where Clark began his career with. He played four seasons in Seattle from 2015 to 2018. In 62 games, Clark had 136 combined tackles (92 solo tackles and 44 assisted tackles), 35 tackles for a loss, 72 quarterback hits, one interception for 26 yards, six pass deflections, eight forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries for 27 yards and 35 sacks.
Clark had three of his finest NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2019 to 2021. In each of these three seasons, he was selected to the Pro Bowl, and won two Super Bowls in 2020 and 2023.
The Seahawks are currently in second place in the NFC West. They have a record of four wins and two losses, and have a game back of the first place San Francisco 49ers. In two of their last three games, Seattle has given up 10 points or loss. They beat the New York Giants 24-3 on October 2, and then the Arizona Cardinals 20-10 on October 22.
