Scottie Scheffler wins 2025 BMW Championship

Scottie Scheffler was our pick to win the 2025 BMW Championship in Baltimore (just like he is our pick every week when he enters a golf tournament), and by golly gee, the world number one by a country mile came through again. On Sunday, Scheffler posted a four round score of -15 and beat Scotland’s Robert McIntyre by two strokes.
What we saw from Scheffler this past weekend, mirrored the run he had at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris when he won Olympic gold, coming back from four strokes down to win. At the 54 hole mark at the Caves Valley Golf Club, Scheffler was at -12, and four strokes back of Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre, who was at -16.
However, on Sunday, Scheffler was steady, while MacIntyre was not. Scheffler posted a score of three-under-par to finish at -15, while MacIntyre posted a score of three-over-par to finish at -13. Scheffler had a first round score of four-under-par 66, a second round score of five-under-par 65, and a third round score of three-under-par 67.

This was Scheffler’s fifth title in 2025, after seven PGA titles in 2024 (not including Olympic gold). Scheffler’s other four victories this year came at the PGA Championship, British Open, CJ Cup Byron Nelson and Memorial.
Scheffler has now won two FedEx Cup tour events in his career. He won the 2024 Tour Championship in Atlanta, en route to winning the FedEx Cup title for the first time. What is different with the 2025 Tour Championship is that the 30 golfers who qualified for the event start from scratch. There is no starting strokes model as last year Scheffler entered the Tour Championship with a two stroke lead.
