Sacramento Kings deliver with 24-point comeback against the Warriors

The quarterfinalists in the 2023 NBA In-Season Tournament have been determined. The biggest story from the in-season tournament games on Tuesday came in northern California as the Sacramento Kings marched back from a 24-point deficit to beat the Golden State Warriors 124-123.
The Warriors were once up 72-48 with one minute and 17 seconds left in the first half when the Kings came back to outscore Golden State 76-51. Kings shooting guard Malik Monk of Jonesboro, Arkansas scored the last five points of the game. He made a 25-foot three-point shot with 37 seconds left to pull the Warriors within one point, and then had the game-winning shot from 13 feet with seven seconds left.
De’Aaron Fox of New Orleans, Louisiana led the Kings with 29 points. Kevin Huerter of Albany, New York and Monk each had 21 points. Harrison Barnes of Ames, Iowa had 12 points and Trey Lyles of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada had 11 points.
This was the second big comeback in the NBA this week. On Sunday, the Milwaukee Bucks trailed the Portland Trail Blazers by 26 points before winning 108-102. It was the largest second-half comeback in Bucks franchise history.
The biggest comeback in Kings’s franchise history came on December 21, 2009. Sacramento was once down by 35 points to the Chicago Bulls before winning 102-98. This was the second largest comeback in NBA history.
Meanwhile, after Tuesday’s action, we know the eight teams in the quarterfinals of the play-in tournament. Milwaukee will play the New York Knicks, Indiana will play Boston, the Los Angeles Lakers will play Phoenix and Sacramento will play New Orleans.
With the win, the Kings improved to a record of 10 wins and six losses. The Warriors dropped to a record of eight wins and 10 losses.
