Rosehill Review: A Great Day For The Blue Army
3 years ago - Sportingbase
The Godolphin Blue Army were to the fore at Rosehill in a statement that they are in for a huge spring carnival.
They took out the two three-year-old feature races with Golden Mile in the Ming Dynasty Stakes and then In Secret in the Run To The Rose both winning comfortably.
Golden Mile was having only his third start and although he still has plenty to learn he bounded clear of his rivals to win by 3.25 lengths.

In Secret was having only her fourth start and she also treated her rivals with disdain over the closing stages running away to win by 1.75 lengths.
Their trainer James Cummings said they would both clash in the Golden Rose at Rosehill (1400m) on September 24.
HORSES TO FOLLOW
REMARQUE
He’s always shown talent but as a gelding, he looks on track to fulfill his potential judging by his first-up win over 1100m in the Benchmark 88. He’ll get to open class and probably even further.
WATERFORD
Chris Waller has another imported galloper who looks destined for big things. He made it three from three in Australia when he came from close to last for an impressive win. He ran his last 200m in 11.06 seconds.

FLAG OF HONOUR
Pleasing return for the Kris Lees galloper who suffered his first defeat but didn’t lose any admirers with his fourth in the Ming Dynasty Stakes over 1400m as he’s being set for the Spring Champions Stakes. He settled well back and ran home impressively.
