Rams defensive tackle Bobby Brown III suspended six games for taking a banned substance

According to Reuters on Monday, Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Bobby Brown III has been suspended six games by the National Football League for violating the NFL’s policy on performance enhancing drugs. Brown will be able to be with the Rams during the meaningless preseason for games and practices.
However, once the season is set to begin, Brown III is not eligible to be on the Rams’ roster. The first game that Brown III can play this season is on October 30 when the Rams play the San Francisco 49ers in a NFC West divisional battle.

This past season, Brown III played in 10 games for the Rams and had one assisted tackle, which came in the Rams’ 37-7 triumph over the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 5. He also played in three playoff games for the Rams and was part of the Los Angeles squad that won the Super Bowl in February.
The Rams were the second team in two years to win the Super Bowl in their home stadium after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers spanked the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 a year ago in central Florida. Ironically prior to the Buccaneers winning the Super Bowl last year in Tampa, no team had ever won the Super Bowl in their home stadium.
Brown III played his college football at Texas A&M. He was then drafted in the fourth round, 117th overall by the Rams in the 2021 NFL Draft. The most high profile suspension in the NFL during the offseason is in Arizona, where wide receiver Dandre Hopkins has also been suspended six games.
