Best Selection: R3- Mergeila

Hard to be against Mergelia in Race 3. She has always looked better than midweek company and was a 3L winner in this grade over 1250m at Canterbury 1st up. She carries the same weight swapping J Mac for a 3kg apprentice but it looks a pretty easy ride landing up on-speed, which should be an advantage at Rosehill with a +7m Rail. Her only defeat was a 0.1L 2nd when J Mac rode her half a kg over at career start 2 over this track/distance and in this grade.

Value Selection: R5 – Forecaster

Forecaster looks a nice value play at double figure odds coming off a dominant 3L trial win at Newcastle. He is fairly consistent never being far away in Saturday or midweek company and brings 2 wins from 6 1st up attempts.
