We now know the eight players left on the men’s side and eight players left on the women’s side for Wimbledon 2025. The fourth round took place over the last two days, and there are some very intriguing quarterfinal matches to say the least.

In men’s play, there are two Italians left. They are the number one seed and the 2025 Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner and 22nd ranked Flavio Cobolli. Sinner will play American Ben Shelton (the 10th seed) next and Cobolli will play the sixth seed, and 24-time grand slam champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia.

Meanwhile, the other two quarterfinals go on Tuesday. The second seed Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, the 2025 French Open champion, faces Great Britain’s Cameron Norrie, and the fifth seed Taylor Fritz of the United States, is facing the 17th seed Karen Khachanov of Russia. It will be interesting to see how Alcaraz matches up against Norrie when the England-based crowd will be on Norrie’s side. It should be noted that over the last two days Australia’s Jordan Thompson pulled out against Fritz down 6-1, 3-0 because of a back and leg injury, while Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov pulled out against Sinner because of a shoulder injury, leading 6-3, 7-5, 2-2.

In women’s play, the 13th seed Amanda Anisimova of the United States will face Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia, world number one Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus will play Laura Siegemund of Germany, the eighth seed Iga Swiatek of Poland will face 19th seed Liudmila Samsonova of Russia, and the seventh seed Mirra Andreeva of Russia will play Belinda Bencic of Switzerland. Bencic was the only lower seeded player to win a fourth round match, as the unseeded Olympic gold medalist knocked out the 18th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova of Russia, 7-6, 6-4.
