Princess Jenni set to bounce back at Flemington
5 years ago - Sportingbase
Bendigo Cup winner Princess Jenni is looking to get back to her winning ways after an interrupted preparation.
After being scratched from the Zipping Classic with a foot abscess she ran 5th behind Attorney in the Pakenham Cup back on December 5.
Down in grade the 5-year-old mare looks well placed tomorrow in Race 1 at Flemington over 2600 metres.
Speaking on radio this morning trainer David Brideoake gave her a glowing report.
“She did a mighty job at Pakenham. We had 5 weeks between runs plus a couple of hiccups and a significant weight.”
“She’s trained on beautifully and I’m quite confident of a good showing.”

If all goes well tomorrow a trip to the west for the Group 2 Perth Cup on January 2 could be on the cards however the availability of a flight puts the trip in doubt.
Speaking early in the week, Brideoake is keen to send her over but understands the trip might all be too difficult.
“I would love to go, I think she would be ultra-competitive, but I think logistically it’s only looking a very slim chance of being able to get there.”
“But if suddenly a flight came up, we’d be there.”
Princess Jenni holds a nomination for the $400,000 Perth feature along with 40 others including 2018 Mackinnon Stakes winner Trap For Fools and 2019 Melbourne Cup runner Neufbosc who has rejuvenated his career in Perth.
