Star Hills continued on his winning way after notching up his fifth victory in a row at Morphettville.

The 6-year-old gelding demolished his rivals in the 1000 metre Terry Howe Printing handicap by one-length.

The Bob Richard runner sat third before peeling out into the straight, holding off Port Vale.

The South Australian’s fifth consecutive win takes his tally to nine career victories along with three 3rd-places.

This result was somewhat of a consolation after the Morphettville meeting had been postponed from Saturday.

TAB’s application, and website, crashed around midday on Saturday which caused many of the races to be pushed back.

“Our wagering facilities are currently unavailable due to a system issue.”

“We are working hard to get this fixed as soon as possible,” TAB announced via their Twitter on Saturday.

All races at Rosehill were pushed back one time-slot, whilst Flemington races five and beyond were also pushed back one time-slot.

Morphettville, although originally only postponed, had to be cancelled and moved.

“BREAKING: The rest of Morphetville’s meeting is going to be changed to Monday. More to come on @racing,” Racing.com announced on their Twitter on Saturday.

Tabcorp quickly bounced into public relations mode, releasing a media statement in regards to the issues.

“Based on a preliminary assessment, a smoke and likely fire incident at a third-party managed data centre resulted in extensive damage to Tabcorp’s servers and associated infrastructure.”

“This lead to technical and systems outages, as well as the closure of TAB retail venues,” Tabcorp said.

Many patron’s took to twitter spruiking apotential cyber-hack however, that was quickly shot down.

“Based on a preliminary review of the incident, there is no evidence of any potential cyber security issues or customer data breaches.”

“However, Tabcorp notes that these issues will be urgently reviewed as part of a formal investigation,” Tabcorp said.

Managing Director and CEO of Tabcorp, David Attenborough, was very apologetic towards customers.

“Tabcorp wishes to once again apologise to our customers, the racing industry, venues and other partners for the issues we faced in the delivery of our products and services this weekend,” Attenborough said.

“We appreciate the patience and understanding of our partners and customers and look forward to once again providing them with Tabcorp’s full gambling entertainment experience,” Attenborough said.

The TAB applications and website is currently running as per normal.
