PGA Tour – WGC Workday Championship: Our Expert Tips & Staking Plan

We are bring you a brand new expert service covering the PGA Tour and European Tour. This week the tour heads to Florida for the WGC Workday Championship at the Concession Golf Club.
Course form
This course is hosting its first ever PGA Tour event so there is not much to go on there. It has been used for the college game though and both Bryson DeChambeau and Thomas Detry will have fond memories of that event.
It looks to be a typical Jack Nicklaus design so the Memorial could be a good indicator for here. But it is a touch of guesswork on that angle.

Players in good touch
Dustin Johnson just continues his good form. Even if he isn’t winning, he isn’t far away and he is rightfully favourite this week. There just is not the value to back him at the price though. There are some players that always seem to come to the front in these WGC events and Patrick Reed and Justin Thomas stand out. The latter of this has done well in the Memorial tournament as well.
A long shots
As mentioned before, Thomas Detry finished tied for third in the NCAA Championship at this course in 2015 and on a course with little to go on, that course form at his huge price is worth a small punt, although a place is perhaps more achievable.

The picks
Justin Thomas has been in decent, but not great form of late. He can really get going in 2021 with a big performance here. I also like a small punt on Detry at a huge price.
