Our three best tips of the 2023 Masters
3 years ago - Sportingbase
The first major of the golf season took place on Thursday with the 2023 Masters. The tournament is extremely intriguing because we have 18 LIV golfers in the mix. Here are the three golfers we like the most.
Rory McIlroy
The world number two is the betting favourite to win the 2023 Masters. Rory McIlroy of Holywood, Northern Ireland has not got to wear a Green Jacket yet. The Masters is the only major McIlroy has not yet won as he was victorious at the 2011 United States Open, 2012 and 2014 PGA Championship and 2014 British Open. In McIlroy’s Masters career, he has seven top-10 finishes including a second place in 2022.

Scottie Scheffler
The world number one is the defending Masters champion. Since then, he has also won the 2023 Waste Management Phoenix Open for a second time, and the 2023 Players Championship. In the Official World Golf Rankings, Scheffler has a narrow average point lead of 1.3264 points. Scheffler is averaging 10.461 points and McIlroy is averaging 9.1346 points.

Brooks Koepka
I understand why you may shy away from LIV golfers. You may wonder if they are ready mentally to compete against PGA Tour players. However, Brooks Koepka deserves to be considered. The four-time major champion from West Palm Beach, is coming into the Masters red hot. He won his second LIV event of his career on Sunday as he shot a -15 in winning Orlando. This past October, Koepka beat fellow American Peter Uihlein in a playoff in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
