Our three best tips for the 2025 Cognizant Classic
12 months ago - Sportingbase
The PGA Tour is moving to the east coast of the United States this weekend, and it is actually a good thing. That is because there is rain in the forecast in southern California coming up. I am not a happy contributor as I have media access representing The Sporting Base next week at Indian Wells. There may not be any tennis! Yikes! Here are the three golfers I like at the 2025 Cognizant Classic, and all three golfers have had past success.
Shane Lowry
The golfer we like the most this week is a major champion. Ireland’s Shane Lowry, the 2019 British Open champion, finished second place at the 2022 tournament at Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, which at the time was the Honda Classic. Lowry is currently ranked 18th in the world, and is the second highest ranked player at the Cognizant Classic, only behind American Russell Henley, who is 17th.
Shane Lowry is $19.00 to win the 2025 Cognizant Classic. [bet-au-1]
Sepp Straka
Straka is a past champion as he won the 2022 Honda Classic. It is there where he beat Lowry by a stroke and made Austrian golf history by becoming the first Austrian to win on the PGA Tour. But, we like Straka for another reason. He has had a great start to the year as he won the American Express Championship last month in Palm Springs, when the weather was nice!
Sepp Straka is $23.00 to win the 2025 Cognizant Classic. [bet-au-1]
Sungjae Im
Im won the 2020 Honda Classic by posting a score of -6. It was actually tied for the third worst score by a champion in the history of the tournament. The worst champion score was recorded by Kenny Knox of Columbus, Georgia (-1) in 1986, and the second worst champion score was recorded by Mark Wilson of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin (-5) in 2007.
Sungjae Im is $23.00 to win the 2025 Cognizant Classic. [bet-au-1]
