After a fantastic Honda Classic for The Sporting Base where we successfully predicted Chris Kirk as one of our three best tips (even though he had not won a PGA tournament since 2015!), it is time for the Arnold Palmer Invitational, where the three best golfers on the planet are competing. The bottom line is you would be a fool to go against the big three!
1) Jon Rahm
In the first two months of 2023, Spain’s Jon Rahm has already won three tournaments– the Sentry Tournament of Champions, The American Express, and the Genesis Invitational. Many times when a golfer is number one in the world, there are some signs of weakness in part of their game. That is not the case right now with Rahm, who is smoking hot.

2) Rory McIlroy
McIlroy has won a remarkable 23 times on the PGA Tour. One of those victories came at Bay Hill in 2018 as he posted a four round score of -18. McIlroy won his 14th PGA event as he defeated Bryson DeChambeau of the United States by three strokes in a battle of United States Open champions. McIlroy of Holywood, Northern Ireland, won the 2011 US Open at Congressional, while DeChambeau, won the 2020 US Open at Winged Foot.

3) Scottie Scheffler
Just like Rahm who has had a hot start to 2023, Scottie Scheffler was spectacular in the first four months of 2022. Among his titles was the 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational, as the native of Ridgewood, New Jersey had a four round score of -5 to enter the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational as the defending champion.
