Our three best tips for the 2022 Tour Championship
4 years ago - Sportingbase
The 2022 Tour Championship takes place starting Thursday in the last of three events of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The results from the FedEx season are factored into the scores prior to the start of the tournament. So when making your golf picks, take that into account. Here are the three golfers we like the most.
1) Scottie Scheffler
The 2022 Masters champion has had an unbelievable 2022. He not only won his first major championship, but also was victorious at the World Matchplay Championship, the Waste Management Phoenix Open, and Arnold Palmer Invitational. Scheffler enters the Tour Championship at -10 after finishing tied for third place last weekend at the BMW Championship in Delaware.

2) Patrick Cantlay
No golfer has had more success in the FedEx Cup Playoffs over the last two years than Patrick Cantlay of Long Beach, California. The 2021 FedEx Cup champion won the 2022 BMW Championship a week ago for the second straight year. Cantlay enters the tournament at -8.

3) Xander Schauffele
The reigning Olympic gold medalist from the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021 enters the Tour Championship at -6. A native of San Diego, California, Schauffele has won three PGA tournaments in 2022–the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, (the team event where ironically Cantlay was his partner), the Travelers Championship, and the Scottish Open. Despite not being a major champion as of yet, Cantlay and Schauffele are household names in golf at the moment.
