Suns vs Clippers

Although I don’t agree with it as the Clips should really be trying to get this one without CP, it sounds like Lue is going to go deep into his bench here which will means less minutes for the starters. Game 1 against the Jazz is probably a good barometer and it was Batum who saw his minutes cut dramatically in that one playing just 20 minutes despite starting. Batum played 39,42 the last 2 games and I’d be very surprised to see him play over 36 here with a ton of minute downside.

Definitely have the strongest view on Batum, but all starters are going to take a hit and this Suns defence has been very very good.

76ers vs Hawks

Maxey was awesome last game. Everything panned out well for him, mainly with Simmons foul trouble, but you have to think it’s bought him some extra opportunity here. He should first crack at them off the bench, and if he’s playing well has a great shot at minutes in the mid 20s. The risk is obviously that Doc has options, so if he has a rough first stint Shake will likely get a go. He’s been pretty productive all season when he gets run, sitting at a nice 0.52 points per minute, which has carried over in the playoffs also at 0.52 points per minute (only a 142 minute sample). Bit too much risk to unload on him especially in a game 7, but the upside is certainly there for him today. Doc had to pull Simmons last game when they were intentionally fouling him so there’s an extra path to minutes also.
