Pisces

Worked hard to get the lead and couldn’t hold off the fast-finishing Aemelius. Forgive this poor run as his prior winning start indicates he’s a strong horse with plenty of talent. He will be fitter next start and a good hope to bounce back.

Navy Blood

Jumped well and raced keenly while being stuck three wide doing a lot of work early. He only gained cover behind the leaders with 800 metres left to run and couldn’t show the same turn of foot as his previous start. If he can get coverage earlier next start and not have to work as hard he will feature in the finish.

Iknowastar

Started quick and went straight to the front of the race where he was able to dictate the speed. Turning into the straight he kicked away from the rest of the field finishing first by 2.3 lengths in a dominant performance. An honest runner who will again look to lead and be hard to run down.

Golden Path

Had a perfect run, sitting three lengths off the leaders and didn’t get into any trouble throughout. Rounded into the straight and showed an impressive turn of foot to run down Father’s Day and win by 0.3 lengths. He handled the wet track well and looks primed to continue his good form this preparation.
