Our Black Book: Horses You Must Follow From Mornington 20/4
2 years ago - Sportingbase
Our analyst has reviewed the sectional times, ratings & replays from last Saturday’s Mornington meeting & has placed five horses you must follow in our black book below.
LADY DI DI
A place looked out of the equation before the turn when she was well back but she rocketed home to finish third behind Fasuto. She was also held up with 100m to go and should have finished second. She will be better suited at Flemington.
GATES
An encouraging effort from this son of Frankel to finish third in the Mornington Guineas. He was given every chance by Luke Nolen but he’ll be much better suited over 2000 metres at his next start.

SING FOR PEACE
Showed he’s in for a profitable winter by coming home from a long way back to finish third behind the exciting prospect Sea What I See. He’ll be better suited over a longer trip than 2000 metres. He also loves the wet.
CADMUS
Came from worse than mid-field to finish third behind two useful gallopers in Frigid and Farrh Flung. He’s a talented stayer and he’ll be hard to beat in anything he contests from 2000m to 2400m.
