Excellent resuming effort from the son of Capitalist. On a day which played to on pacers near the rail he was trapped wide throughout and was recorded as running 11 metres further than the winner. His last 200 metres was 11.82 seconds which was the fastest for the meeting and he was also strong after the line.

SHEVA
Endured a horrendous run as she was trapped wide throughout the race in the slower part of the track. Her jockey Michael Dee said she also raced greenly. She was recorded as running 10 metres further than the winner Tiz Enuff. She also wasn’t pushed out to the line so she could have finished closer than sixth.

TORRANZINO
Big striding galloper who had a lot against him yet he still finished third. He didn’t look happy on the tight turning Valley track nor was he suited by the style of racing. He also covered 10 metres further than the winner. He may also be looking for 2400 metres.

INTERPRETATION
Encouraging first-up effort since last year’s Melbourne Cup where he ran home strongly from a long way back to finish third behind The Summit in the 1600 metres Travis Harrison Cup. The son of Galileo should be a force to be reckoned with over the spring.

Unlucky in the last race as he was held up when full of running at the 400 metres when mid-field and shuffled back a spot. When Blake Shinn got him to the outside he charged home to finish second recording the third fastest last 200 metres of the day of 11.86 seconds on a track which had had plenty of wear and tear.
