Our analyst has reviewed the sectional times, ratings & replays from last Saturday’s Flemington meeting & has placed four horses you must follow in our black book below.
GAN TEORAINN
He settled last with the slow speed and worked home really strongly for third in the Archer Stakes. He was the only horse to break 24 seconds in the race for the last 400m recording 23.79 seconds. He’ll take some beating in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes on Saturday.

CROSSHAVEN
He’s better known as a 1400 metres horses but the Hayes boys might have found another string to his bow and that’s straight racing and keeping him fresh. He charged home to finish second behind Spacewalk in the Rising Fast Stakes where he produced the fastest last 400m (22.31 seconds) and 200m (11.62 seconds).
AETHELFLAED/ZARDOZI
Aethelflaed produced the best finishing effort in the Wakeful Stakes which augurs well for the VRC Oaks in Thursday. Her last 200m of 12.52 seconds was marginally quicker than Zardozi’s of 12.55 seconds. Zardozi though will meet her better on the weights. She lost no admirers with her second placing.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE
A big race win awaits this three-year-old colt. He flew home for second behind Ozzmosis in the Coolmore Stud Stakes. Whether it’s this campaign remains to be seen but the Kennewell/Yeomans stable would be targeting next year’s Newmarket.
