Our form analyst has looked over the replays & sectional times from Caulfield on Saturday and has placed his list of horses you must follow below.

WOLFY

A little slow to begin and went back. He was held up between the 400 metres and the 200 metres and when he got clear he burst home to finish second to Ouroboros in the opening two-year-old race over 1200 metres. He was strong after the line. Nick Ryan believes he’s a Caulfield Guineas prospect.

MOVEFORLEX

Impressive effort by the son of So You Think to chase a tearaway leader and then be left in front at the top of the straight at his first try over 2400 metres. He was still too strong for his rivals and he recorded a faster time than Teewaters did in the open staying event running by .7 seconds faster. This should prove to be a strong form race.

PRANCING QUEEN

Looked full of running in the straight when she finished fifth behind Cute As but had no opportunity to use her energy as she was held up for the entire straight. If she got clear she would have gone close. She’ll be a chance in a similar race where she won’t be $71 next time.

IT’SOURTIME

A change of tactics almost worked for this consistent sprinter. He went back from draw and powered home to finish third in the Bletchingly Stakes in a great hit-out for the Aurie’s Star at Flemington. He recorded the fastest last 200 metres of the day with a 10.86 seconds closing split.

NICCOLINI VITO

He finished fourth in the same race and only really got his stride going late in the race when he found some space. He was strong after the line and he’ll be hard to beat over 1400 metres at his next start at what ever level the Hayes boys choose to place him.

FIRST MATE

He chased home a smart one in St Lawrence but his effort was also very encouraging. He raced on the fence and then finished on well for fourth over 1400 metres. He was strong after the line and he’ll be better suited over 1500 metres to 1600 metres.
