DIVUS ROMULUS

Gave away too big a start in the opening staying event. He worked home well out wide which early in the day wasn’t a place where horses were making ground from. Stick with him as he’s a promising stayer.

LINKVUE

A professional debut from the locally trained two-year-old to run second behind the flying Bold Bastille in the Gold Rush. He did everything right and he defeated the third horse in by three and a half lengths. He’s got a bright sprinting future.

LET’SBEFRANKBABY

Made it two encouraging runs after a spell when she finished on strongly for third behind Coco Sun over 1600 metres. She’s demonstrated previously she’s a classy middle distance horse and she’ll be hard to beat at her next start over 2000 metres.

MODOWN

Promising three-year-old gelding who came from a long way back after being slow to begin in the Bendigo Guineas to gain third. He’s ready to win his next start.

JUST FOLK

Typically brave effort from this honest galloper to finish in the Golden Mile where he drew wide, led and although he was swamped with 200 metres to go managed to hold down third placing despite conceding six kilos to the winner and two kilos to the runner-up.
