Scottie Scheffler has won the PGA Tour Player of the Year award for the fourth time. After previously winning the award in 2022, 2023, and 2024, Scheffler won the award for the fourth straight year according to Sydney Jones of heavy.com.

Scheffler becomes the third golfer ever to win the award four straight years. Tom Watson of Kansas City, Missouri won four straight years from 1977 to 1980, and then Tiger Woods of Cypress, California won four straight years from 1999 to 2002.

During the year, Scheffler won $27.7 million. That was actually less than the $29.2 million he won in 2024.

Throughout the 2025 PGA Tour season, Scheffler won six tournaments including two majors (the PGA Championship and British Open). He also won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, Memorial, BMW Championship and Procore Championship.

It was basically a slam dunk in the summer that Scheffler would win the PGA Tour Player of the Year award when he won the British Open. When you win two majors in the same year, you normally win the award. It was the first time in Scheffler’s career he won two majors in the same year.

Scheffler’s best tournament came at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. In this one single event, he shot a four-round score of -31 and beat South Africa’s Erik van Rooyen by eight strokes.

Meanwhile, Jeeno Thitikul of Ban Pong, Thailand has won the LPGA Tour Player of the Year Award. She won the award despite not winning one of the five majors. Thitikul did win three tournaments on the LPGA Tour (Mizuho Americas Open, Buick LPGA Shanghai and the CME Group Tour Championship).
