Olympic star Yabusele inks 76ers deal

French Olympic standout Guerschon Yabusele has agreed to a one-year, $2.1 million deal to return to the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 28-year-old starred for France in their run towards an Olympic silver medal earlier this month turning heads with strong performances against the likes of Canada, Germany, and the United States.
Bolstered by his 6-foot-8, 260-pound frame, Yabusele’s bruising playstyle and ultra-efficient shooting proved staples of his game in Paris, and he earns another NBA opportunity as a result.
The 16th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, Yabusele spent two seasons with the Celtics before being waived and signing a contract in China.
He returned to Europe the following year joining French team ASVEL before making the move to Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid where he spent three seasons winning a EuroLeague title in 2023.
The addition of Yabusele caps off the 76ers’ offseason overhaul with Paul George, Caleb Martin, Jared McCain, Andre Drummond and Eric Gordon all joining the team and Kyle Lowry and Kelly Oubre returning.
