Denver Nuggets forward Cameron Johnson of Moon Township, Pennsylvania will be out long term with a knee injury according to James Foglio of sportscasting.com on Friday. Johnson went up for  a defensive rebound in a 131-130 Nuggets loss to the Dallas Mavericks this past Tuesday, but fell awkwardly. He instantly grabbed his right knee according to Luke Adams of hoopsrumors.com. At this time it appears Johnson suffered a deep bone bruise and is expected to be gone four to six weeks.

Johnson was not part of the Nuggets’s memorable 142-138 Christmas Day win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday. In this particular contest, Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic of Sombor, Serbia scored 56 points and set the NBA record for the most points scored in overtime with 18. As a team, the Nuggets set a NBA record for the most points in overtime with 27.
